i dont really want to run a large sump right now

it currently has
XP3
XP4
and AC110

but if I were to use like a 55g sump could I maybe just run one XP3 or AC110?

I could get you a dirt cheap 55, and I mean dirt cheap. may need to be resealed, but it held water up until I drained it about 2 months ago. I think if you ran a high enough GPH you wouldn't need anything more than a powerhead for dead spots, not to mention you can hide the heater.

What is a nic? I was thinking a female festea and a Texas

Its a nicaraguan cichlid (Hypsophrys nicaraguensis). I wasn't sure if you wanted to keep your tank more peaceful or lead it in an aggressive direction.
