What does the future ahead look like for you in the hobby????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've discovered a diamond not too long ago in a place called Reef Chief. Its 5 minutes from my house and its the nicest saltwater place in a dudes giant shed. It's so clean and unlike pet stores. He has a site google him. Anyway the point is my future looks to be heading towards a reef tank.

Now I no longer have a wife to hold my hobby back my future consists of a new sump and I will take the dividers out the old one (30x18x18") and use it as a tank, maybe marine or maybe a small planted setup.
I am doing a diy led light for my 5x2x2.
I am also looking to add a couple of med sized (max 12" TL) colourful fish in with my quiet female midas and the very shy female freddy in the 150 but don't know what yet.
I have considered getting rid of the 3 seater sofa and getting 2 reliner chairs so I can upgrade the 5x2x2 to a 84x18x30" but that is just a thought for now.
All in all I am feeling quite positive now I have free reign.

Well my future has begun to happen. I sold my pike to make room fro the baby fish. All the festeas go in the 75 to hopefully pair off.

I eventually want to attempt to build a huge tank but for now I have to take baby steps.... :( my goal is to get at least a 220 for my current stock...I didn't realize keeping what I have in a 75 was WAYYYY too small, newbie mistake, I'm just lucky they all get along. :o eventually I want my own fish room with lots of tanks...and I want to get some festaes.

eventually i plan on purchasing the pacific ocean and i will own all fishkeepers. muuuahhhh

I'll continue to concentrate on the South Americans with a focus on Acaras. I still have Psycho (a large and aggressive RD) but other wise I'm no longer keeping any CAs. I have five 1" Geo Red Head Tapajos I'm currently growing out in a 90 gallon tank and look foward to enjoying these as I have never kept eartheaters before. I have one nicly planted 45 gallon tank with some Latacara Dorsiegra, Rams and Mesonauta egregious, the egregious will be going into my 220 in the near future. I'm also keeping a group of 5 Acaroina Nassa in a 75 trying to get a breeding pair somewhere down the road. My newest additions Aquadens Metae are a species I wanted for a long time and I'm very excited about finally being able to get some. My Krobia Xingu Orange and GTs round out my current stock and will be with me for a while. I'm also considering Altums if they become available but I'll see about that if and when the time comes. One thing about this hobby I'm never done it's always a work in progress. So there it is, and I believe Matt said it water changes, many water changes in my future.

Well I want to get a big ten foot tank, with 2 silver Arowanas, big school of SDs an two oscars, an a nice big pleco!

For my 70 Gallon:Grow out the Geophagus (Get 3 Altifrons to 8 Inches, 3 Juvie Altis to 6 inches, Heckelii to 6-8 Inches, and the Jurupari to 8), get some nicer plecos, eventually get rid of Scalar Angels (fillers) for something nicer.
For my 10 Gallon rimless: Fluval Stratum, Dutch style planting, 12 Chili Rasbora and 2-6 Otos.
For my 10 Gallon Shrimp: Hospital tank
For my 4 Gallon Riparium: Shrimp tank
