What does this do for me cichlid wise?

That weight is not a problem. Think you should go talk with someone in that field and I am pretty sure they wil tell you the same.
 
A full 100 gallons weighs roughly 1100lbs and a 150 weighs around 1900 so 400lbs is a lil off and not worth getting kicked out of my place

Difference in water weight is 415 lbs, unlikely the 150g tank lbs more then the 100g, as a 150g tank don't even weigh 385 lbs.
 
Ok according to the site I went to it says a 100 is 182 empty and 1150 full. 150 is 338 empty and 1800 full. Now u gotta calculate sand, stand, and all that stuff so the numbers differ. If I don't do the trade then o well and if I do then I will be just fine with a 100 gallon tank.

Ok i agree the site was bogus. So i searched a lil more. 150 weighs around 200lbs empty and almost 1500 full give or take... Does that sound better

That's true. If the stand can hold up the aquarium, the building can hold up the aquarium. That logic is simple enough. Over the years, though, the weight in one spot can weaken the structural integrity (if its a building made from timber), and it would be more likely to fail in the event of a hurricane or tornado.
