you should do waterchanges more often. its the only to remove nitrates from the water (unless your tank is very heavily planted, anyway).

vacuum that gravel, too!

I have no real plants in there. I would but they eat them. I will do a nitrate test tomorrow just to be sure. Friend of mine has one I can go pick up.

I admit I do need to vacuum the gravel more often though. I need to find another tap adapter as mine cracked.

The BP was his mate and in fact just had eggs yesterday which they were protecting together. Both of them are hanging around the plant that the 'bullied' and 'former boss' is behind, but the JD is really sticking around there more and is watching him very closely. I wish I could put a seperation in the tank just for the night so I know he's not going to get beat to hell overnight when I go to bed.

Sorry I guess I should specify, the BP and the JD/convict cross were mates and had eggs they were protecting together. They've done this MANY times.

the blood parrot is prolly just breeding with the other jd, that is if blood parrots can even breed with jd idk that just what it sounds like
