umm... thats a perch and you cant put one in a heated tank i would want a cold tank for one, and they get kinda big for a 55 iv cought some that hit 13in

I agree with the bumblee being you centerpeice. I had one that was close to 9 inches and super aggressive. As far as adding a JD, maybe, but JD's get just as big as GT's.
the bumblebee is the african mbuna type...just so you guys know......they only grow to 4inches....

He's around 8".....very thick bodied.
I've had him for less than a year.....around 2" when i bought him.
He's rather strange in that he's not aggressive towards the other africans but he is the king of the tank.

NO NO NO Carbos are 8+ and can get real nasty in tight quarters adult males are black with yellow vertical lines females yellow with black vertical lines and quite powerful for their size. As juvi's both look like the female but by 4" the male will show his all black when he's pissed.
