Im looking for ideas on my stock and what I should do with it?? I want to know what you would do if it was your tank! The tank is a 150 gallon with 40 gallon sump with 1200gph. The dimensions are 48"x24"x30" and I plan to add some more driftwood. I have had some troubles with my oscar and HITH but he is doing better and it is improving!!
Stock-
12" oscar
18" fire eel (hides in the log)
3" fire mouth
3" upside down catfish
10" pleco

If this was my tank I would not add any more fish. I would add some more driftwood and a bunch of live plants or some fake ones just for some color.

I agree.

1200 gph for a 150 gallon tank??? i understand overfiltering as i do so myself, but flow rate and filtration are two different things. too much flow over a long enough period of time can, not saying that it definately will, but can cause oxygen deprovation. you only need to turn the water over in your tank 3-4 times an hour.

I would not say you have to much. I would be concerned when it starts stressing you fish.

My fish don't seem to be stressed. But you wouldn't add any fish?? The tank seems empty when the only fish that swims around is the Oscar during the day.
