What ever Happened to the old western movies and the stars that were in them?

Agree to a point but it was a very different time when most of these were made and black stars were not prevalent in any genre. And what's wrong with Will Smith?

As far as some of the newer westerns go I thought the remake of True Grit was done well and to remake a John Wayne movie is a big gamble. I also thought The remake of High Noon the old Gary Cooper classic was pretty good. Another recent favorite was Appaloosa.
