What feeders to breed?

why would you want to feed a ctenopoma acutirostre live fish? and feed them live frequently? its not good for them unless its something like alligator gars or knife fish.

I feed them other food such as brine shrimp and blood worms, but i have done a lot of research and they are a predatory fish whose diet in the wild consists of mostly live fish.

Convicts breed excessively but like someone already said they have spines.
