Personal preference here...this kind of question will throw a broad answer out there. Especially at this time of flowerhorn when it is the hottest with a whole lot more variety and such. The first question you should ask yourself is, how do you like your flowerhorn to look like?

yeah. There's always gonna be variety. u breed what you like. U select quality.

But in this day and age, I think all FHs are cool and beautiful in their own ways.

I've been trying to breed my pearly rd with a that kml and it's been a learning experience. I have them in a 125 gal with no divider for a while now and they arent causing too much damage but her tube hasn't dropped since I pulled the divider out 5 weeks ago. It isn't like throwing a male and female convict in a tank and bam! It's something that takes time and patience. Find a strain you like the looks of and see where it takes you! Good luck!
