Hey there everyone, i recently aquired a 95 gallon tank that came with 3 crap filters. I just got the tank set up and i am running the 3 crap filters at the moment but will need to buy i better filter before i put fish in it. What type of filter/s do you all suggest. i am looking for the overall best filter for the tank between cheapness, relative ease of use, etc. If it helps i have a sand substarte. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Well... if your tank has a stand that it sits on and has space in the stand.... i would recommend getting a wet and dry filter!! GREAT Bio filtration!

either the FX5 or 2 Marineland Penguin 350 HOB filters.... cheap easy price (like $22 on petsmart.com and they have a 350g per hour and have two BIO-Wheels)

or build a sump

and for the sand just put a sponge over the intake (just in case ;))

Or Rena XP filters, if you are looking for a cannister. I always advise a sump first. Last option you could go with a couple AC110. You can get them cheap.

how hard are fx5 to operate...ive never had a canister filter before....how do they work? i realize that that is a complete newbish questions but after all i am a newb
