I would run both but have the eheim as more of a boifilter (ie pack it up with biomedia and very little in the way of pads or wool) and use you fluval as you main filter. ive done this on my tanks with great results

I am with most of the others, run both. Unless you have an AC110 to put on it, then I would run that with the 405 (just because it's larger)....

I do have an Aquaclear 110 and AC 70 but they are on my 100 gal. I love the Aquaclears. I had my Eheim 2213 running with the AC110 on the 100 gal and the side with the AC was always cleaner then the Eheim side. I put the tank too close to the wall for the large aqauclears to fit.
