What filters your 125g tanks?

I had two ac70's and a magnum 350 on my 150, you can get a used magnum 350 for about $30 or $40 bucks as well as ac 70's. I figure you could do two 350's, two ac 70s, or one of each and be fine, I would recommend one canister for the added biofiltration but ac 70s hold a decent amount of media as well. I too am a broke college student so I buy used, you could do a diy overhead filter or sump with two fp 500's (500gph) 10 bucks shipped on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SMARTPOND-R...aultDomain_0&hash=item2a1429996f#ht_561wt_905

if i ever had a 125 the 125 would be used as the filter itself... lol
but seriously if i had a 125 i would run a 30g sump with a magnum
350 canister filter. sump for bio filtration mag350 for mech filtration.
theyre dirt cheap to get used & or to build from used parts...foreal...
but since you already run a ac110 and a eheim just add a small sump
around 20-30g and it should do the trick. i dont know why a eheim
canister and a ac110 wont do the job for a mere 125... maybe what
you need isnt another filter but more or stronger water movement in
your tank as so you wont have any "dead spots" inside your tank and
the filter can suck up all the mess. or maybe you need to start gravel
vac.ing once a week? lol...

My 150 runs a FX5 and a XP3. Does a good job and gives me backup should one fail....

3 drawer wet dry in a 40g Rubbermaid with a 630 pond pump on a home made spray bar

wet dry setup about 30bucks 15dollars worth of bio balls and 15 worth of ceramic rings and pump was 70.00

sump! add an ac110 if you want
