What filtration would you add:

I use poly- fil for water polishing. A big bag from wal mart lasts a long time and is every bit as good as an aquarium based filter floss. Way cheaper.

Yea, it was some generic stuff on amazon for a few bucks for a massive bag. I don't like funding walmart ;p

Although, the best solution to a higher bio load will be trimming stock or more water changes. Just remember there is a limit to filtration as no filter gets rid of nitrates.

Filters on overstocked tank = nitrate factories

Nitrates aren't my issue . They stay at 35. The water had about 10-15 via tap. My issue is all the particulate I can't get rid of. It's been like this since the tank was setup, before there were any fish in it.
I took the main paged offline today and it seems to have helped some as far at letting stuff settle, but the water still needs a good polishing. I'll post am updates at the end of the week after I get the floss installed.

Gonna hold off til Friday to post a video/pic of how it's come along but I put in the filter floss in the AC100 yesterday and today I'd say it's 80% better than where it was initially. Probably better than it was before it ever had fish in the tank. It's always been kind of murky looking but I always wrote it off to tannins from the driftwood... regardless, it's already looking so much better. Gonna pick up some black sandblasting grit and swap out the substrate this weekend.. this PFS is really annoying to look at when it washes out the colors of the fish.
