what fish are considered guapotes?

I bet if I post a for sale thread with Ramsdeni here for $400 adult pair, it would be sold in 24 hrs. Rare and beautiful to many, seems more experienced keepers want this fish.
 
ne one have pics of a ramsdeni?? still havnt even seen wat it looks like, its either beautiful or looks like an uglier Hatiensis lol
 
Guapotes is the term used in Central America for fish of the genus Parachromis, I've never heard any local call Pentia guapotes.
Ramdensi is not in the hobby because they are hard to bred and have died out since there is no collecting in Cuba, that may change as our government removes travel restrictions to Cuba. Ken
 
there was an article in TFH in the mid-90's about them, and a collecting trip...don't know if anything from that ever made its way into the States via Europe or anything.
