What fish are native to ct?

I'm from CT too...seems to be a lot of that going around for some reason or another. Pike, pickerel would be great. Not much personality, but are they ever fun to watch hunt! I kept grass pickerel for a while back in 08. Seined it out of the lake I grew up on in the NE part of the state. Mad toms are highly recommended too: I even keep some (native to where I now live in South Central PA) with my tropicals. Not a true monsters like a yellow bullhead, but a nice fit for a lot tanks.

Well seeing as most of the fish mentioned get too large for a 55 I would go for smaller fish like the mentioned madtoms, but also black nosed dace, long nosed dace, sculpins, darters, central stone rollers, also banded killifish are awesome. That's a start there are many out there, just buy a net a go out netting that's the best way to know what's in your area.
