As above ;)

Thinking of Jardini & Barra's with the gar would they end up killing each other?

Or could i get the Barra and Jardini to be bigger then the gar first hand so that that Gar can't attack them.

gar attacking others isnt your problem, its the other fishing freaking the gar out and hogging all the food.

i dont know much about barras but a jardini i hear are very agressive. assuming everyone is peaceful same size would be ok but i would think i barra would grow too fast and eat/ kill the thin gar and the jardini would have a go at everyone.

no silvery fish. and could a mod help an move this to the gar forum.
No cichlids, no catfish, no plecos and there is more but i cant think right now

Jars tend to become very territorial as they get bigger making it hard to keep tankmates with-Anne

Barra don't work well with skittish gar(long nose/florida/etc) because the species of gar that are more skittish will never get food with such tankmates from what I've experianced.

And as said I wouldn't throw a jardini with gar.

ahh ok any other big fish that would go with a gar then?I have owned a jar b4 but i had him with a lot of africans but i kinda want to dedicate this tank to bigger fish.

A spotted gar would be OK as they seem to have a more laid back personality. I would think a Florida gar would be OK as well, but I would wait for a 2nd opinion on that. If you want bigger tank for bigger fish then look no further than the majestic Alligator Gar :headbang2

Are Pacu's ok with Gars? Would they eat cigar sharks? or red tailed chalceus?

I only wanted a jar to fill up the top area or a silver or green arrow.

OH and Red tail GG sorry i never owned a gar before but i had the other fish before so i know what i could be expecting from them.
