I have 7 neons in a 2.5g planted tank. They have been there for the last year, but before that they were in a planted 65g for just under a year with angel fish. I asked them which tank they preferred, but they never answered... they just ate their food and ignored me... maybe they were depressed due to the size of their aquarium... I should probably crush up some Prozac with the flakes.

Eh nothing wrong with small tanks. I mean 1 gallon is pretty tiny but some shrimp would be happy in it. There are many nano fish that do just fine in a small tank. It takes work but they make a nice desktop tanks. I love my 5 gallon metal rim tank :)

lol funny thread. if your complaining about small tanks for fish... what do you thinnk of JDM tanks? eh why bother asking lol.

Ok seriously guys. I hear so many threads about things like this, and its sickening and totally wrong. You shouldn't keep any living being in a tiny 1 gallon or 5 gallon, (unless its like a 5g grow or whatever) or however small of a tank like that. I mean, how would you like being stuck in a small box your for your WHOLE freaking life. I'm sure it wouldn't be very nice.

Call this spam or whatever but im just trying to make a point. If your going to keep fish, buy a reasonable sized tank with proper filtration to make their lives as happy as possible. I mean after all, isn't that what you do for your cats/dogs or children? (lol that sounded kinda funny and wrong :o)

:iagree: its like would you put an arapaima in a 1 gallon betta bowl??? NO stop before you think hahaha

This site is about educating those that do not know how to properly care for their fish. But in the end, they can do as they please. You just have to give it your best shot.
