my fish that has the most personality woulde be my oscellaris clownfish but the fish i most loved takin care of would be my firefish as he tends to hide quite a bit so i tempt him out with food and he is always freindly and is really fun to look afta
and he is beautiful too.....

I liked this thread, for the same reason I like this website, it makes me feel less like a freak when it comes to my affection for my fish. I love showing people my fish when they come over, but I always end up getting the same wired looks.

Thank you fellow freaks for making it ok :) to love em.

All my guys have their little quirks. I'm glad someone else has a referee, my pleco gets pissed if squabbles go on too long and swims in the middle and splays his fins (so wired). My leopard leaf thinks he's the boss (but he's by far the smallest). All my fish know who I am compared to someone else, my new tire track is just starting to let my son feed him.

Most personality or best would have been my tire track I gave away. He was so friendly with me always interested in what ever I was doing in or around the tank, and was so relaxed with his tank mates (put up with just about everything). Miss him much, I regret not pawning household items so I could have gotten a bigger tank at the time instead of rehoming him with someone else.

Its gotta be my dovii x flowerhorn.

I think he might get outdone once i get that remora. What other fish attaches to you during tank maintenence? :D

My BPs always come to the front to say "Hi boss! whats up?" when I come up to the tank.. but NEVER for anyone else. :)
They also share tank with a 25cm Sailfin Gibbi which eats from the surface wich is kind of cool.

My EBJD knows whether I'm going to feed or gravel vac based on a) my body position (sitting vs standing) and b) how many people are in the room. If he either sees at least two separate pairs of legs or my face, he knows it isn't cleaning time and starts begging/showing off for food. If all he can see is one set of legs, he's gone.

He also sleeps with the three botia kubotai that are in the growout with him, and kills anything that tries to get near them. I'm not really looking forward to the day I'll have to separate them :(

om my goodness such sweet funny awesome stories... oh how we do love our fish and get to know them as well... i am also happy we have each other to relate too... because these guys share our homes and our hearts and our money... they mean that much to us... and the ones with personality that we can write about are over the top...haha.. there should be a little book with all these neat stories in it...

At one time I would have said my GT, he's very attentive when any of us are in the room. But this green texas I adopted several months ago is too funny! He attacks everyone but me that gets close. If you're near the tank he follows every move. When I open the lid to feed, he's right there looking up out the top. But he'll try to kill anything else I put in with him, so he'll stay solo.

I'll have to post a new picture when I get off work.

yes he is thats why i finally had to rant about him....:D what does your discus do to make you think he is mr personality..?

I knows when its getting fed, it follows me round the tank, it handfeeds ect :D

I've got 6 Oscars and a Flowerhorn with awesome personalities but my Red Oscar takes the prize. He gets to pick what he wants for dinner. I show him different packages of food, he'll swim off to the back of the tank and stare at me if it's something he doesn't want. When I get to the one he wants (Can O' Crickets, bloodworm cube package or a June Bug) he'll swim super fast to the front and flip his tail so hard water splashes everywhere with his mouth slamming open and shut and his head wagging back & forth. I have a special place in my heart for animals that clearly adore me and this guy sure does.
