I thought $28 for our new hybrid Blood Parrot was pricey.. but he is the most gorgeous blood parrot I've ever had and so far he's kept his exceptional coloring.

I think I have over paid for any mbuna I buy from the pet store. Considering how common they are, how easily the breed and how you need to over stock, I think $7-$10 fora 1.5"-2" fish is a bit much. My lfs actually sells 2"-3" mbuna for $12-$16 each full grown mbuna are $20-$45 each. I mean these are labs, zebras, demasoni and auratus. Sometime they have something a little more rare but they also have many hybrids since people bring in fish so you have to be careful.

Pretty sure I over paid for my senegal bichir. Bought it was $19.00 but he looked very healthy and I dont see them too often.
