WOW! Glad I live in the states man. That is rough! Mine was $100 for a mated pair of dovii. Male was 12" female 5". Wouldn't be too bad except they killed $200 worth of other fish in a week. Agreed. If it weren't for our drive, there would be no children. It still creeps me out that women think it's dirty to want to do the thing we were meant to do. I mean, is a gear busted up there, ma'am? Are we just supposed to go extinct and never have fun? Thankfully, female livebearers can't use the 'shampoo-ing my hair' excuse.
Any betta worth owning these days costs that. It spiked three years ago when ultra fancy bettas flooded the market and pet stores priced in the middle to break even. So now you have to get a $3.99 betta for $10.00, but you also get a $25.00 betta for that same $10.00. Just gotta know how to pick 'em.Small betta-10$
