Personally i think electric yellows are one pain in the @$$ to catch!!! so speedy and when they are in a 6ft tank forget about ever catching them. Even putting food in makes it hard, i even turned off all the lights so they cant see the net but hey still hard T_T

Just a Fun thread :)

I say any kind of Loach since they hide inside bog wood under driftwood and under decor. You pick up the decor they run to driftwood you pick up driftwood they go inot bogwood......Hard to Catch.....

I would have to say grammas, basslets, and dottybacks. Ive herd of them staying in rocks that were pulled out of the water and die rather then getting caught. Damsels are though too but theres a few tricks for them.

a few 3-4" polypterus in a 7ft long tank. even when trapped in the net, they managed to escape from the smallest gap.

literally took me about an hour to catch the 3 of them, and couldent drop the water level below 12" because of my pacu

Hmmmm, out of all them that I've caught at work I'm gonna have to say the hardest ones to get are smart cichlids. Once they've been in the tank for a while they learn to hide right next to the overflow box so I can't get them with the net.

Believe it or not... Algae eater! I use to have a 50 gal tank with plants and rocks. But the algae eater was starting to getting really aggressive, so I decide it is time to get rid of it. Oh man, I spend about a hour and half trying to catch it. I end up have to remove everything from the tank and drain the water as low as I could get it (The biggest were two tin foil barbs that was about four or five inches long) just to spend another half hour trying to chase the algae eater without hurting anything else.
