:OMG: how do you know that the storms will be that bad for the next ten years?

Yeah that's pretty upsetting about the hurricanes, especially since I don't graduate until mid-2010. And I already had to deal with the whole my school was closed for a semester in the fall and if it happens again, Tulane probably won't be able to reopen again.

So the hurricanes need to bypass New Orleans.

Man, that is a long list. Just off hand and freshwater only I can think of over a dozen shiners, several chubs and suckers, at least a half dozen darters, about the same in topminnows and killies, 3 logperch, pirate perch, 3 sunfish species, bass (LMB, spotted, striped, and white), sauger, bream, black and white crappies, paddlefish, 3 species of sturgeeon, arkansas shad, catfish (flathead, blue, channel), bullhead, spotted and alligator gar, bowfin, hogchokers, carp, buffalo carp, and both redfin and chain pickerel. I am sure there are more, then you also have brackish fish like drum, shiner perch, croakers, and pipefish.
