what fish to breed for my pacu??

^^title. Guppies don't seem to do much for him...are goldfish or comets or convicts better?? Better as in fast breeding and full pacu.

Breed Convicts..........A supply of COnvict cichlids is fun to have...........A spare 20-55g will be good enough for a pair for life.....A 55g split down the middle will support two breeding pairs for life...........

dont need facts lol...its common sense...
but 20 feeder fish in the tank, ...the fish wont eat all of them...it will eat until it is satisfied...
but 20 lbs of hamburger in front of a dog...it still only eats until its satisfied...
otherwise both animals would eat until they exploded...

just have to add to this... my dog and many others actually eat way past satisfied. had to take my dog to the emergency vet because hs stomach dragged on the ground from too much food that my nephew gave him. And hes not a doxie hes a large beagle.
And Pacus are vegetarians if i recall not piscivores :/

Read about Thiamine Deficiency that is caused in fish by feeding feeders.

You have it backwards lol. Thiamine is bad for any fish. Also, the only feeders that are known to contain thiamine are goldfish and cynaprids(I hope I got the spelling right) and other select few.

While I do agree with you that feeders aren't the healthiest things to offer, people will still feed their fish feeders. The only feeders I ever give my fish are Ghost shrimp.(I enjoy seeing my fish kill the shrimps, I'm a horrible person lol)

@OP: Feeders will never beat pellets. But if you really are dead on about feeding your fish some sort of feeder, try Convicts.

I agree......Pellets should be a staple diet fed everyday to the fish.........COnvict Cichlids are just a hobby must to have when owning monster fish and cichlids........
