What fish to put with a peacock eel?

thank you so much for the info... now if i want to change to sand instead of my crappy gravel, and I can't find pool filter sand ( I have called all over), can a person use silica sand from menards, used for sand blasters? this is what i used for years with my reptiles and they did fine with it. If not, what and where do I find the sand?
 
You can use silica sand. What many people do, is buy "Play sand" like what you put in sandboxes.

just make sure you wash the sand first, no matter what you choose.
 
thanks so much for the info!!! I found the pool filter sand, also, as I want to use it instead of gravel...how do you clean or prepare it to put in the tank? Anything special that I need to do to it?
