What TROPICAL fish do you think is the most hardest too keep alive in tanks. I dont want answers like:
"Arapaima Gigas because they require such a big tank"

What fish is the hardest to maintain and take care of?

Green Mandarin Goby(saltwater) and Discus(freshwater). Of course the more rare the fish is the harder it will be to find anyone to consult.
Some Africans from Lake Tang. can be tricky to keep esp if your water is low in ph...adjusting and maintaining ph can get irritating.

green mandarins are the hardest mainly because the strictly only take EXPENSIVE live foods but there beautiful >.< I hope they evolve soon

It has been my experience that electric Blue Jack Dempseys are the hardest to keep alive. I know this sound stupid, but every time the get about 2.5" the stop eating a die a wwk later. 3 trys now and i'm throwing in the towel.

Feeders, they just don't seem to live long :D

Seriously for me, seems I cannot raise rams, several attempts all failed.
