Hmmm...
First and foremost, I would want any store of mine to focus on having healthy stock, and good quality, whatever I carry. A small to medium sized store, with a separate quarantine room, and as many of the tanks will have separate systems (no shared filtration/water) as is possible.
For stock, I would want to carry high quality (show quality or just under) goldfish. Everything from ranchus (SVR and TVR), butterflies, and ryukins, to bristol shubunkins and the lovely hibuna (aka the common). I would also want to carry halfmoon, double tail, halfmoon plakat, ect, bettas. It would be awesome to have a 'betta wall' equipped with a drip system for them (no cups for my fish!).
Other than that, the bulk of the fish would be the 'staples' of the hobby, that most customers will be looking for, but with focus on quality and health. Tetras, barbs, livebearers, angels, popular cichlids, so on and so forth. Ideally, I would want to find local breeders for as much as I can.
I also would want to carry a variety of aquascaping supplies, good plants, nano fish and shrimp (CRS, ect), and of course have a couple tanks reserved for oddballs and monsters.
Also, I would want to breed various feeders (minnows, guppies, bloodworms, brineshrimp) in store. And finally, have the right to refuse service if we think that the fish will not be taken care of adequately.
