I have an armatus that I am raising so I thought about that. I am also building a pond in the basement for ray breeding. Thanks

a few Gulpers, and big Afro aro, couple of pretty and lrg plecs... something for everyone

Or Bowfin!

If u got a MAL and a dam nice one... or albino afro the lung idea would be sick....

actually sod it get white Trop gars, Afro aro, and a Aussie lung, thatll get all the girls in... u seen how cute they are?

180 gallon as a bar? Definately African cichlids from malawi (mbuna, haps, peacocks, take your pick or a mix of them). A frontosa tank would be nice too, although those guys are pretty sedate. Or a planted discus tank if you want to go all out....mmm...that would be nice.

A more "monsterish" approach would be an arrowana or some stringrays perhaps.

If an aro won't work due to angle and not seeing it, you need bottom dwellers. POLYPTERUS. End of discussion. Maybe add a single "swimmer" like a dat. :naughty:

One monster Jardini. Mine draws more attention that almost all of my other fish.

Something that will survive exposure to air, after your drunk buddy sitting on the bar stool kicks the tank with his steel-toed boot.

I would suggest a mudskipper.

What about a gar? Maybe some rays? A good variety of large cichlids. They can defiantly give a good wow factor at feeding time. I know you say no to cichlids but they do look great in a 180.
