What gender/spiecies are these two geophagus they where sold as tapajos but I’m not sure.

The mid body spot, the red fringe on the tail and the lack of color on the face don't seem correct. Clearer pic's would help.

This is their “idle” coloration I also have pictures right after turning the light on If those are of use?( I can’t get more sharp images they get butchered when they get converted)

The banding on the tail is vertical so these are not Redheads as they have horizontal.
You can’t see it but the fish on the second picture has horizontal lines but the fish on the first picture has spots that’s why I’m confused my guess on the spiecies is surinamensis or abalios since they can have bothe have stripes or spots.

One of them has the cheek mark, bars, and tail coloration of G. winemilleri. The other does not. But neither of them are Tapajos, at least not pure ones.

wait hybrids exists, I’m probably going to outgrow them until I can safely identify them and then sell or trade them for some true tapajos cause I’m not in the situation where I can gat a acrylic 200 gallon tank for a single whinemilleri.

Why would you need a 200 gallon tank for a single winemilleri? I kept a group of winemilleri in a 6 foot 150 gallon. Single adults don’t need 200 gallons.

Yes, a lot of the geos from the surinamensoid group can hybridize unfortunately.

They are tons of geos from Brazil. Which ones, specifically?
Sorry about that, they "are" Geophagus abalios.
I know this as I've been around them before and are specie that i most commonly bump into :)
I'm 100% sure they are Geophagus abalios!
