im just wondering wat would be the best or food for the FH..... Im new to this and i just bought 4 from JP and it will arrive friday..... how often do i have to do water changes for the 1 fry in each tank cuzz you cant put them together right....... and wat to feed the fry....... thanks hopfully i can get some info from you guys........

Hikari bio gold or gold in mini or baby(only in gold) is what I feed them.

As for the WC, you do it same as how you change water for other fish. drain, syphon, and fill. 35% WC 1x a week is perfect.

Hope this helps,
JP

hikari gold, Alife fh food

hikari gold mini/baby, or hikari bio gold mini if they're big enough..

wow. none of you guys said grand sumo or chingmix. i don't feed either, but i thought some of you did. i feed hikari gold, dainichi ultima, krill and blood worms. i wanted to try the dainichi colorfx, but it is always out of stock at the lfs

I was surprised others didn't suggest chingmix or grand sumo either. I have never tried it but it's far too expensive for my taste. New life spectrum is better than hikari, but omega one is the best. I get all my omega one from www.tntaquatics.com Anybody who has ever used omega one can basically vouch that it's the best.

hikari cichlid gold medium pellets. and large pellets for the bigger fh's

i am ordering some gsumo red soon. i will let you guys know what i think. aquaticwonderland.com has the 550g for $27. he said that his boxes can fit 6 cans with shipping for $11. i might try hei feng colorful too. i wanted to try these because the reds on my pearly fh kind of look pink right now.
