What got you into the fish hobby?

i had a goldfich that lived 1 year
then i just thought about it had a smal tank and now i'm 8 years in the hobby and have a 400 gallon tank and hoping someday for that 1000+gallon tank

I had a typical beginning, guppy, bowl, bigger tank, oscar, oscar dies, bigger tank, bigger fish and my next step being a bigger tank. But what is keeping me in the hobby is Datnoids, Polypterus and my GT
fishing got me started to want to keep fish in this hobby......first fish was your average semi-aggressive petsmart tank lol
I first got one last year from my aunt which was a 10 gallon with 2 goldfish. They always died so I did tons of reasearch and during that procces , I leared a bunch of other things about fish which really got me into them. now I have a 100 gallon (goldfish), 55 gallon(flowerhorn), 30 gallon(saltwater), and a 10 gallon(saltwater).
my love of fishing and the first time catching a northern pike, my first fish was a 4" snakehead and from there i havnt stoped fishing or fishkeeping.
