So, I went to test out the 90g I was going to set up , since I just got. A 14 inch bowfin. Since it was in storage from my dads office for awhile, it started to leak up top. So now,I have no place for this beast. My buddy just filed his tank with smaller fish. So I had to stick him in a freaking 35 with a 7 inch aro. I feel bad. He can turn with out angling himself, the 90 needs resealed. It was fine 2 months ago. It was all last minute. Before I went to work, I had to do something . So what do I do? The 90 he would be fine in until my buddys 280g tank opened up, but its not ready, so I'm kinda stuck. Anyone have a tank he can turn in lol for borrowing . He is a amazing fish.

I'm 2 hours away from home, can't start until thrusday, hence why I'm posting, I'm freaking out lol, thinking his going to die, or. Break something I don't know lol, is he gonna be ok for 3 to 4 days, tell me he will be ok doc. Lol

Hope he doesn't dart around the tank like mine does. You would end up with a knocked over tank. But im sure he will be ok till Thursday, i remember when i had a huge red tail in my 50 gallon until i was able to sell him.

The lights are off, gf said she hasn't heard any nosies, she freaked out when she say such a big fish, made me laugh lol. She says he is ugly :( but. He is just laying on the bottom. No change in tude or anything when I left seemed to be fine.

Here's what you do, go to the store and buy as big of a plastic tub you can find, and use that as a temporary tank for him. Be sure to check his water parameters, you don't want his water to get toxic. Do you have a cycled filter you could use?

its a 35 tank lol. Just sucks being 12 wide. That's only problem I have with him in there right now. He has plenty room to just hang out but can't turn without angling himself alittle

The 35 gallon tub is 16 inches wide at the bottom, and 22 inches at the top (since the water causes the plastic to bow.)
And it's 31 inches long. It would still be more comfortable than a 30 gallon tank!

And the 60 gallon tubs are even bigger. I wouldn't fill a 60 gallon tub all the way up with water, unless absolutely necessary, and maybe get some dowels or other type of wood to put under the outside lip, to help keep the plastic's integrity in line, to prevent breakage.
