what great timing for a bad tank

Sounds risky. I reallt can't afford to have 30 gallions of water on the floor and downstairs apartment that's not mine, would be bad lol

The 35 gallon tub is 16 inches wide at the bottom, and 22 inches at the top (since the water causes the plastic to bow.)
And it's 31 inches long. It would still be more comfortable than a 30 gallon tank!

And the 60 gallon tubs are even bigger. I wouldn't fill a 60 gallon tub all the way up with water, unless absolutely necessary, and maybe get some dowels or other type of wood to put under the outside lip, to help keep the plastic's integrity in line, to prevent breakage.

I've used the 60 Gallons as a quick solution for Koi Care. Trick is to find the tubs with the lockable handles, Then lock the lid in place and dremel out the center of the lid. The lid will re-enforce the top rim and stop the bowing your talking about. Works like a charm in a pinch.

I may need to try this, unless another tank opens up from a friend lol. I hate having such a big fish in such a small tank. He prolly hates life right now
