Tail looks really skinny. Is it eating?

Thank you Michael for asking .

He's eating just a little bit and do not move much . I now do water change 2 times per day for 10 % . Temperature is at 29 Degrees celcius. Is he going to die ? Again that i also buy black water yellow bottle and put into water according to instruction .

what are you offering for food?? I wonder if 2 waterchanges a day and black water extract are cause ph stress

Hi , Wimmels and nic

- he's sometime acting like this without any food around.

- I gave him frozen Bloodworm which he finished them within 5 minutes . Do i change water too often ? Again that all water have been placed in another tank for more than 24 hours at least already .

The w/cs and blackwater extract might be causing pH swings.. You would be better off doing larger water changes every 3-4 days.

Make sure your filtration unit can handle the ammonia they produce..

Bloodworms aren't that nutritional, and can fly all over making a mess and causing more ammonia.

What's his belly looks like? Is it a fresh import?
Regards
Frank
PS If his belly is very red put in some salt 3 gramms a liter

My retics do this as well but only when they have food under them and are trying to stuff as much in their mouth as they can. Is it possible that there may be blood worms or food on the ground of the tank and that he is eating? Because normaly when a ray's disc is curling it curls the opposite way yours does.
