that is not death curl.... you could try adding a lil salt and kill the lights leave the black water crap alone and feed more nutritional foods red wigglers(earth worms) night crawlers cut up krill shrimps

Seem my rays do this when something in the water is not right or bothering them, check your water parameters and do a water change make sure to dechlorinate as well.

You dont want DI water. And R/O is not that good to use also. If you use R/O only do a 50%mix.. no DI

RO water is unstable.

I think rays can curl both ways and do lots of different things when water quality is poor.
