Whats the tank decor? Could it have injuried itself on some wood or other ornament? Is it at least eating?

I just got this fish only 10 days . So only in plain tank with 2 over head filter . Today i gave him alive shrimp and he's eating 2-3 of them .
I have had good luck with seachems paragaurd for treating fungus.... if you can get it I would give it a shot..

do keep us posted on its progress.... I think the pristine water and lil bit of salt will do the trick quite nicely...
