and their white scale on the body a.k.a flower spot doesn't appear when they were reach the size that you currently have..actually marulioides will grow it's flower when they reach their size at about 10 - 11 inch..

Please explain 'a.k.a marulius' - I don't understand.
These are marulioides Thai spec from Surat Thanee (central of Malaya peninsula), it's very far from Malaysia. Head shape will sharpen than malaysia spec.
But I never found it with full flower like this before.

I don't know the condition that he kept but he never kept SH before.
But he kept in 24' glass tank, not cement tank.
Next week I will send more juv to my friend again.
Maybe 6 but split into 2 groups: 6-7 bands & 5 band for compare flower develop.

It won't fight, except when we kept only 2 in the same tank.

Based on my experience when i looks at your fish..they're totally Channa Marulius..Thailand are famous with this, have you ever met Jean-Francois Helias? He's the expert in Channa Genus, and a famous angler in Thailand..If i got their head shot..I will know which channa they are..But i think its Channa Marulius..Based on their sharpen head unlike marulioides..Their body also long and their body patterns are close..take a look at 10 inch Tunblue's Specimen..They're Thai Specs Marulioides..

Jean-Francois? He is in Thailand fishing web. Angler expert but is he SH keeper too?
I won't be in BKK 2-3 day, next week I will share my Thai spec with sharpen head like marulius.
