what happened? cloudy water

Thursday morning i woke up and my tank went from crystal clear to this what happened? Thursday I did about a 30% water change and then another 50% yesterday. still no change. the tank has been up for almost 3 years and i have never had this issue before. I did change part of my sump about a month ago. did that effect this?

I'm going thru the same thing with my 180G. Keep an eye on the perimeters. Mines been cloudy for over a week. I did notice 1 thing,, it seems to clear a little by leaving the lights off.

So if its a bacteria bloom will this clear up on its own or is there something i can do to make it clear sooner? Am I going to lose my fish?

mine did the same a couple of weeks ago....my ammonia reading was 4ppm i just cut back on feeding the fish and let it run its course...it has since cleared up alot but still kinda cloudy...my ammonia was down to 2ppm early this week..i havent had it checked this weekend. just be patient it should clear up once the BB builds back up.

The same thing happened to me with my 55 gallon tank. Water changes seemed to help clear it up. After a couple weeks the water became very clear.

I had a tank with a habit of this A greenmachine in tank UV clean it right up
