Does anybody else's fish stay calm and peaceful in the day time but when the lights go out start to fight or anything?

No. My fish almost instantly fall asleep when I turn out the lights. The only fish who's active in my tanks at night is my Reedfish, and he only searches for food

Well my jack is a little pain all the other guys wanna sleep but hes a little fin nipper lights go out at 8 but he is up untill 9:30.and infrared would be cool to see. What ever happened to that link with the live 24/7 webcam of that guys tank that was cool?

As soon as I turn off the lights all the fish go to their caves and out come the plecos

My cichlids sometimes cause trouble after lights out, but usually everyone is quiet

Day & Night are two way different worlds. Some fish get more aggressive, some are more interactive, while others become more reclusive. And I'm talking about diurnal fish here! I have at times recorded my tanks at nigh with night vision mode & you will be amazed at how different fish behave/interact from day time to night time. And yes, many fish will "know" when you are in the room with them so behavior will even vary at night depending if there are people in the room or not.
