While you can never be certain without precise background info, no one would likely produce a hybrid that looks just like a commonly available species.
 
supposedly it is a possible midas/red dragon and there were a variety of fry produced. Many of them looked just like red dragon fh's and some more like midas. I just so happened to choose one that looked like it had the cleanest purest orange hoping it would grow with fh body style traits.
 
Do these fish mature much in the same way that flowerhorns do? At what size should I expect a nuchal hump to form if it is a female and is venting the only true method of sexing this fish?
