Quarantine Tank
Im thinking about getting one, what have you housed with your Polleni?

my friend has one with his fronts his had it for a number of years and they're ok...personally i havent tried any tankmate for my bleekeri but polleni and bleekeri, i dont know if they are that different in temperement....

Anybody know if they could it be housed with a Dat and Aro?

I know NOTHING about this fish and have just started researching it so any advice you guys could give me would be great!

Never kept mine with dats or aros. Have kept them with RB snooks, Os, fronts, AULs, plecs, IR sharks, and others. They seem to focus aggression on each other and don't take much notice of tankmates.

anybody else?

Come on guys, I know there are more polleni owners here on mfk!

I've kept mine with Malawi Peacocks, now he's in a tank with the peacocks, a severum, parrotfish, JD, rainbow shark, emerald corydoras, and a black ghost knife (I had a tank crash, and am waiting for my new 125). He gets on fine, chases all but the sev and ghost. Hasn't killed anyone, just chases. They are conspecific aggressive--will even kill opposite sex. Can get to 14"--such beautiful fish. I'm putting him in the 125g with the Sev, Ghost, and JD.
They have pretty big mouths . . . . lol

I've kept both bleeks/polls with everything from haps to a big female midas (including natives). They tend to keep the aggression between themselves. The best combo I had was my bleeks with geos in a 180.

I also have had no trouble with polls except with other polls. Datnoid might be a problem. My dat is fine with my Oscars and Chocolates, but persecuted my Severums and Uarus. Had an ongoing war with Synspillum. Neither could get the upper hand. Haven't tried him with the polls. One interesting thing about the polls is that (so far -- they're only up to about 7") they seem fine with plants. Go figure!
