I have an Eheim 2217 and i think i need a little more filtration due to the type and amount of fish i have in my 55g. I wanted to get another canister, but they are kinda expensive and th eheim does great, dont get me wrong, but seems to lack in the mech filtration and removing debri floating in the tank.

Now i was thinking about getting a HOB filter, and i used to have several, but they are so damn noisy!!! Ive had a top fin, tetra, and my last was the Marineland Penguin 350.

Now the marineland had great filtration, but it growled and made all kinds of noise and i live in a very small apt, so quiet is key!!!

Now with the Eheim, i cant even tell its on it so queit.

Now my question is, is there a HOB filter that is quiet, and i dont mean kinda quiet, i mean QUIET!!!!

My friend has a Aqua Clear on his 55g, and i was only there for a few mins, but it seemed really quiet. Is this a good filter?

Im open for all recommendations, and keep in mind, i have a 55g and i need a lot of fliltration. Thanks.

Once I got aquaclear, I've never looked back, all of my non-aquaclear HOBs are now sitting in the shed collecting dust.

I won't touch anything else but aquaclear now when it comes to HOBs

Yep, when I used HOB filters the Aquaclear 55 rocked.
Moves a ton of water and does it quietly

The best HOB filter isn't made anymore "supreme Superking"

Aqua Clear 110 is pretty awesome, I use it in my quarantine.

aquaclears are by far the best
