isn't it hard as hell taking that hook out of a catfish's mouth? i always have trouble taking out the single hook ones...u have 3! lol
Yup but you want to re use your hook most the time when fishing
With something like this you pull the hook through to where you can see the barbs, then you cut off the barbs or cut the straght of the J to remove them.. Real simple real quick , needle nose plyers.Ya well with a cheese hook the risk of having his mouth hooked shut is much worse than removing the hook.. Especially when it is so simple to removeFEEDER said:

I caught this guy while I was cat fishing in my pound. It was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done trying to get that hook out but after about an hour It came loose and I sent him to the river.

try this next time if you havnt before
always carry a pair of plyers with you
when the hook gets caught in a turtles mouth use those plyers to (be gentle on the turtle)squeeze down that barb on the hook and if should slide out with ease, and the hook is still useable too.
