thats what my girlfriend said lol. im not good with color. The only color I woud want to use would be like, gold leif or something on the lighter color scales.

Very nice, try doing the same picture with a different medium, like charcoal for example, this will help you see any mistakes you may have made( if any), give you better knowledge of the same subject and will also help you to move into other mediums like colour. After a charcoal picture you could use chalks for example. This in turn would give you a feel for paint.
When people use pencil and graphite only they tend to try and make every detail exact, but this doesn't work with colours, unless you use pencils or you've got a very steady hand, in which case you're trying to recreate the real.
With paint and chalk it's the picture overall that counts, small mistakes are missed with the eye.
The colour and light make up the general picture while the brain does the rest. Obviously in this case you could presume the light is coming from above, so shadow or less vibrant areas would be on the underneath.
