Did you not treat the water before you added it to the tank?

it deffinently sucks that you lost such great fish, but it could have been worse.

I have recently lost some fish due to the same thing.:( Thinking about RO now.

Back in the day, when I was still living with the folks I was using RO water from the system my father set up. I can honestly say that nothing was better. I know live in the city and it is a project everytime I do a water change because of all the chemicals they dump in the water.

I never had to put a single chemical into the water to make it safe for the fish. I was keeping discuss at the time, and it was so easy to soften the water once it ran through the RO unit.

Man I miss those days. :grinno:

Nice. Well, when I get closer to being set up, I may have some questions for you. I am having a hard time getting any real info on RO. Info seems to be contradictory from one source to another. I need to talk to someone that has had success with it.
