what in your opinion is the most aggressive cichlid

lool that says it all then, so are mine there pretty shy fish i think the guy at the lfs said they cannot be housed with any other fish etc etc etc
 
yea the jack that i have now is a pansy my red texas is pretty much a boss lol they all keep to themselves though i know the red texas got me into cichlids and the most aggressive that i have seen is grammodes dovi's texas red devils flowerhorns black nastys dhonti's and the fish im looking for an umbee.
 
Of the cichlids I have kept I'd say the salvini was the most agressive. I had a friend who has a butti and it is the meanest cichlid I've ever encountered. The cichlid that got me hooked was the oscar.
 
I had three german rams once....and they were killed by my gourami at the time. My rams were pansies. I've also had a couple jack dempseys...they were pansies too, unless they wanted to take a snap at a smaller fish...then they acted tough.

+1 for convicts.

Personally....I like peacock cichlids, but they're not really that aggressive compared to some species.
 
Dovii, beani, umbee,odo,butti, grammodes, istlatum,red devil,

The cichlid that hooked me was dovii, and really all other parachromis species.
