I see these big Arowanas given away from time to time - most people just can't house them, so it's hard to get any money for them. Selling them at a store is different from selling them locally or on here.

$100. Very common and most people sell them and didn't care for them right. I sold and 18 inch silver 2 years ago for $40

100 bucks or less. They pop up all the time, someone is always trying to get rid of one that they grew out and can't handle.
1. Its not a rare fish, and they are cheap from the start.
2. They are a faster growing fish, it doesnt take years to get yo that size, nor is it hard to get them to the 2 foot range.
3. Lots of people to this day still don't realize how big they get so they are forced to get rid of the fish once it reaches that mark.
Hell I dont think its its even worth 50 bucks at that size but market value is always determined by two things. Supply and demand. Supply is pretty decent, and demand is super low. I bet you can skim the market place and find at least one silver aro that's 24" plus posted per month. How many of them actualy sell?
