I've been looking on craigslist to upgrade my 55 gallon tank to one with a larger footprint. I've seen a couple on there, but what i'm looking for is in the 90-150 gallon range. What would you expect to pay for a used 150, 120, 110, and 90 gallon tank respectively? Thanks for the help!

All depends on the tank and setup. I'd expect to pay $2 per gallon roughly on just the tank where I'm from, but I saw 3 ads this week on cl free tanks all over 100g.

Yeah, I thought i found a free 90 gallon on there the other day, but the person stopped returning my emails.
I'm looking for the bare tank, not drilled, and was hoping I'd be able to get into one for around $1 per gallon. Is that lowballing it?
Looks like i have a little bit of time before the upgrade become a top priority, so hopefully something will turn up.

It all depends on the condition of the tank and what it comes with ie: filters, lights, canopy etc. For just the glass tank I would pay around $100-150 depending on its condition and if it still has glass tops. For a whole setup including a nice stand, canopy, lights, fx5 maybe I would pay $250-350.

The price of a used tank depends on what you are willing to pay for it and what the seller is willing to sell it for. At a $1 a gallon I don't think you are going to have sellers knocking down your door trying to sell you their used tanks but I also don't think you should have too hard of a time finding a seller willing to sell you their tank at that price with a little bit of looking around.

I paid $200 for my 110gallon with an awful particle board stand, fluval 404, magnum 350, a beautiful 5" Frontosa, and a gorgeous 6" coral cat plus a few more fish and a lot of accessories. He probably could have gotten more for it but I really didn't want the stock... I wanted a planted tank. Of course I have since fell in love with African Cichlids!

i personally think 1$ - 2$ a gallon is fair for a used tank, or less if there are any problems with it.
it's been pretty ridiculous around ontario for tanks these days on kijiji.ca. ppl are asking all kinds of stupid prices like over 1000$ for a 55 gal tank.... seriously?! most of them, you're looking at between 5-10$ a gallon, if not way more. better off buying new from a store than off there and they'll most likely be in way better condition/no scratches.

Well, I picked up a tank last night. 150 Gallon Tall for $100 and included a stand. Needs a little bit of work. I'm going to restain the stand (it's light wood and dark stain will match the other furniture in my house better), and I'm going to either remove the crappy faux wood stickers from the tank rim (or paint it out black), but I can't complain for what I spent on it. Never thought I'd be able to find a tank of that size for that low. Great buy off of Craigslist...
Sorry for the crappy pick, it's off of my phone. tank and stand.jpg

Wow! & I thought I got a good deal...

I just picked up a 75g today with a wooden stand, marineland emperor 400b bio-wheel power filter, glass lids, heater, a powerhead, 100 pounds of gravel, 1 common pleco, another huge filter Idk the name of, some cichlid pellets and algae wafers, a 48" light fixture with working bulb, and some more little stuff all for $100 and also got mine from craigslist

That still sounds like a great deal to me!
I figured this is going to be the last tank I get to buy for a long time (surprised the wife let me get it but even she realized how good of a deal it was), and since it is a 150 I really can't think of anything to upgrade to from here that isn't a monster basement tank (saving that one for the next house, hahahaha).
