I just ran in PetSmart and they have the exact same set up i just bought for $598 for the tank and $198 for the stand and this does not include the lids. Granted mine is used, but at 66 cents per gallon for the tank (making the stand free) I'm pretty happy.

For anything at or under 150 gallons, I go by $1 per gallon used for the tank. Add or subtract depending on condition.

Once you get into bigger tanks, glass gets thicker and much more expensive. So expect to pay more per gallon for big tanks. Normally, I go by half price retail, and add or subtract depending on condition.

It also depends on how bad you want/need the tank. If you need one NOW, then who cares about an extra $50?

I've been looking on craigslist to upgrade my 55 gallon tank to one with a larger footprint. I've seen a couple on there, but what i'm looking for is in the 90-150 gallon range. What would you expect to pay for a used 150, 120, 110, and 90 gallon tank respectively? Thanks for the help!

I live in San Francisco...........A brand new glass 55g goes for 90.............A brand new glass 150-160 goes for $180-220.........A used glass 55g, with no extras, should run for $50, no more than $100.............A used glass 125g should go for no more than $150, $200 is the limit.............Anything larger usually comes with a stand, a top, and a filter(sometimes).........I have purchased a used plexi 180g from this website for $200..............
