yeah how big do you want it to grow fast?

Oscars grow fast, min 100gal tank for a breeding pair, and no way to sex them... and they get ugly when they get big

Aros grow fast and look good... require 200gal min though as an adult.

Etc...

Tilapias (generally) get big and breed easily.

Convict cichlids will breed in a puddle, then again, so will fancy guppies. Angelfish aren't too difficult. Mollies, swordtails, platties will breed anywhere also. Not exactly monster fish, but don't know your tank size. Without that, I'm not going to tell you to get a large fish just to have it put in a 55 gal.
