what is a fast growing, good looking fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my tank is 8 foot long 3 foot wide and 4 ft wide i am getting. i dont want arrows or oscars. im thinking a couple of green terrors? but what else????

green terrors in an 8x3x4? No arowanas? Are you alright up there :screwy:

That tank would be perfect with arowanas up top, dats and large barbs in the middle, large cats, bichirs, and stingrays on the bottom

Budget fish too, not a fish that will empty my wallet

*blows dust*

Get a male and female Black Ranchu...These fancy goldfish are considered "cream of the crops" in my area(San Francisco)....5 inch fatties go for $100 a piece....:WHOA:

OR...

Try breeding Brichardis....Brich's cost around $5....Set the tank up with lots of driftwood pieces and rock caves....

OR...

As adult, German Rams cost anywhere from $2 to $5..These small cichlids show nice color quality and are abundant, so finding them will not be a problem...

OR...

There are many African cichlids that totally match the colors of saltwater fish, from blue to bright yellow....The average cost of growouts, ranging from 1-3 inches, is $5 a peice.... Most, if not all, are mouth brooders...These fish require a higher PH than Central and American cichlids....

Do not call me crazy, but maybe blind....I did not see the 700 gallon part in the opening topic...Oooooooops....

700g, hmmmm...Try a TRIO of Silver Arownanas....A BIG pair of Jaguar cichlids will be make a dashing centerpeice in a 700g....Make it biotope, and throw in some Hondurian Redpoints, or Convicts.....

700 lbs of live rock and a ghost shrimp

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

I laughed really hard when I read that.

Man I would do a serious setup liek a biotope with that tank. Try an amazon setup or a lake malawi setup. Thats crazy huge.

i would stand all day and talk green terrors in my opinion they are absolutly the fish to have great color semi aggresive in the right size tank would do well with similiar fish so you could add that severum or oscar etc. always choose the fish that catches your eye because they will be the one your looking at for a while lol

malawi ahhh memeories i just changed over to south americans but yes a 700 gal malawi or even tang. frontosa we would all bow to your presence what a nice dilema you have on your hands lol

yes Frontosa tank ..invest in a colony .. wait a couple of years till they grow and reap rewards with money you get for them.. but they are slow growing.. maybe jaquars, red devils and Green terrors.. all reasonable price grow big..grow fast, look beautiful and breed well..
